Light + Shadow in Architecture

Currently, I am having my students look at Light and Shadow in Architecture as a way to explore spatial/formal relationships and sensorial expressions. As part of this exploration my students are looking at various built works that demonstrate the effects of light and shadow on our built environment. This got me thinking and I have gathered together a sampling of photos that I have taken throughout the past few years that I feel demonstrate some interesting qualities of light using tecture, layering, screening, obscuring, filtering, saturation, etc...
